- RSRobert SchwentNov 1, 20252.0Despite the rigorous efforts of the friendly staff at this PNC location the institution as a whole has failed this town. It's no one's fault that works at this location, but it has become nightmarish conducting business with PNC in the city of Decatur, IL. My best transactions are at the Thornton's when I need to hold some cash when I'm going out of town until I can get to a safer city to do my banking.

I have watched them decline and damn near run themselves out of business in Decatur over the last several and have finally reached my limit. The P in pnc stands for petty, pathetic and penny pinching against their clients. I look forward to seeing them go bankrupt in the near future.

The team here knows me and my wife by sight, ask personal intriguing questions about us and the kids and dogs and interact with us, weather we are at the window or the counter like we are family. Even the loan officers inside are upfront and helpful and open to all my questions, when I have them. I have only had a couple small hiccups, that the staff has willingly and quickly taken care of. The only single drawback I have is the drive through lanes feel very tight, even in my Dodge Dakota 1/4 ton. I wont even try to go through with my golf cart trailer hooked up, because I can not guarantee that I would safely fit.

Days later, Manager leaves lengthy voice mail about my question and for me to call him back, never answered my simple Yes or No question. I call back and bank never answers telephone. i call the branch downtown , immediately get a person on the phone and my question answered. No need for all this phone tag....
