I’ve been banking with Hawaii USA Federal credit Union for almost 25 years and I referred so many people to them and really liked them. over the last eight years. I’ve just watched them go completely downhill. I made a deposit at the ATM-it was my rent money and it didn’t go through- I got approved for a loan only to find out the next day that an error was made on their end-that was a few years ago and already friends and family were telling me you got it drop this bank but I stayed loyal - The lines are always long and the people working there have gotten so incompetent-they’re always understaffed. It wasn’t like this 10 years ago or even 20 years ago. Recently I was at the Kihei branch in Maui making a deposit -they asked me where I got the money from? who does that? Today was the last straw. I just opened up a notice saying that they’re raising the interest on my credit card after I’ve been with them for 25 years. Not to mention, they raised some other fees lately, but like I said, I was trying to stick it out with them because I have been with them so long. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
