  My wife an I have decided to close our accounts here after being charged for things that we should not have been charged for. Then two other bad experiences in a row that we didn't appreciate. We had to follow up multiple times to make sure they corrected things they should have corrected in the first place and now something just happened again. Was advised this new thing will be taken care of but I'll have to monitor it myself because I'm just not confident they will do what they said. Just not worth it.

  They told me a transaction was canceled but then took it out several days later causing me to have a double charge. Then I disputed the double charge and was told it would take up to 90 days. I called the merchant to refund me so I could be credited faster "done" but then they refunded and charged me again. I had to be charged then credited it was a complete mess and shows they are not competent and lack communication throughout their business. I'm still trying to sort it out and then changing banks. It should not be hard to pay for a surgery but it was with this bank. Also very argumentative and unable to really help because they don't listen and only think they are right and the customer is wrong! They will not fix their communication problems and will continue losing customers.

  #grateful I do not have an account on the island at this point but soon I will be opening a new account this is the bank I'm going to use awesome service amazing safe ATM 24/7 security so grateful I will definitely tell all my friends and family you guys are doing everything right keeping the other banks in line Big thank you to the awesome security guard on Duty Easter Sunday morning

  After their phone and email service impressing me, I went to the physical branch and had the exact opposite experience. I was shocked because this was one of the branches which was supposed to have good service. They were extremely slow, they didn't help people in the order they arrived. They just decided to help people in whatever order they wanted. There was no take a number system, you were not told how long it would take, and they did not take you in order of the line you were in. After patiently waiting, other people who came in after me were helped before me. When I spoke to the tellers, they gave me an answer and kind of smirked and laughed like there was some sort of joke, or I was stupid or something. I just wanted to inquire about some services. This response and treatment was completely unprofessional. HawaiiUSAs products seemed solid so it is very bad that their in person service is so poor in comparison. People are trusting their money and financial future to them, they should take care to hire attentive, intelligent, professional individuals. This really makes me think twice about using this institution when there are so many other options available.
