- DDDavid DarbyshireAug 9, 20261.0Just be aware of this and any other Branch of Tesco Travel Money if you don't want to get ripped off with their exchange rates when you try to return Dollars, Euros etc? 9/8/26 just been into Middlebrook Tesco to change Dollars back to pounds I was gobsmacked when i returned $150 dollars and only got £97!! 😡. The lady on the counter said "Did you not take out the Buy Back cover? (£2:75) after nemerous times of using this exchange service at Middlebrook no other member of staff has ever offered me this service?? I've never needed to use this service before because i've possibly returned home after holidays with none or little foreign exchange money? I only got £97 because of preference buy back with the Tesco Clubcard heaven kbows what rate I would have got without the Clubcard?? 😡. So be wary if you use Tesco Travel Money (Which I won't again) take out this Buy Back Cover for £2:75 even if they don't tell you, ask!! Its just cost me £20!!! I would have got £117 for $150 and not the pathetic rate of £97!!! Be aware holiday makers!
