- TWThomas WilcoxMay 22, 20245.0Best post office in the area. I have a preconception of most post offices I enter that there will be a vicious postmaster in a bad mood. I sometimes have bagged coins to pay into my bank. The bank doesn’t take them, when I take them to other post offices the staff start tutting. Not here, though. The ladies are so happy and friendly. I’ve used this post office a little while ago when I had an issue taxing my vehicle. The staff went above and beyond to help me with my predicament. I’m certain no other post office in the area would’ve given me the time of day. As I queued I heard them talking to their regular customers in such a chirpy way, other post offices are such depressing, silent and miserable places!!! Thank you so much ladies. Clearly take so much pride in helping their customers and community. Shame this isn’t my local post office.

Do I need to bring identification if I'm buying or exchanging currency in a branch?
If you are buying currency and paying by card then you will need to bring one of the following;
Valid passport
Valid UK or EEA photocard driving licence
EEA identity card
We cannot accept anything other than one of these documents. We may also ask for ID for some cash transactions and we may need to verify your identity electronically while you are at the counter (this is not a credit check). You will need to have a permanent UK residential address in order for us to be able to do this. We will not be able to proceed with the transaction if we cannot verify your identity.

You can load any of the following currencies on to your card. The card can hold up to 22 currencies at once, but they can only be loaded one at a time:
