A banking hub is a shared space providing easy access to everyday cash and face-to-face banking services for customers of the major banks.
At this hub you can withdraw cash, pay in cash and cheques, check your balance, pay bills, and access change-giving services (for registered businesses).
You can also speak to a community banker from your bank on the day they’re in the hub (no appointment needed). They can help with account queries, fraud support, Power of Attorney and much more.
The banking hub is owned by Cash Access UK and operated by the Post Office.
I want to thank Alex Jones for her amazing support when I went to the Barclays Bank hub on 6th March 2026. I was feeling very stressed as I needed to do a large CHAPS transfer to buy a house, which ABSOLUTELY HAD to be in the vendor's bank before the close of business. I was stressed and anxious, but Alex was fantastic - she was kind and empathic as well as being efficient and diligent. The payment went through in time and we now live in our dream home! Thank you Alex for seeing me through a stressful time with such kindness and caring. Having Barclays Hub in Sidmouth and being able to conduct such an important transaction supported by a 'real person' rather than on the phone or using an automated system made all the difference. Thank you Alex - thank you Barclays!

I don't usually leave reviews but Alex was so friendly and extremely helpful. Great to have her in the hub which saved a trip into Exeter.

I went to sidmouth banking hub yesterday and saw Barclays Alex Jones. Who was so helpful, and sorted out my inquiry very quickly with great knowledge and ease. If I ever had another inquiry I hope it will be Alex Jones that I see for help. Stephen Parry

Very slow service, one person serving at all times, no cash point, cant open accounts, cant open savings accounts because don't have a photocopier and they have nowhere to store files. What was the point in this banking hub, other than lip service! Absolutely crap and very frustrating! A lot of cost for nothing!

I went in today to see the Barclays bank representative at the Sidmouth Banking Hub. It was a true pleasure to deal with Alex Jones! She greeted me with a smile and took the time to make sure my issue was completely resolved! Alex is a shining example of customer care and how it should be done! Thank you again Barclays for being a bank I am so very pleased to be dealing with! Keep up the good work and the excellent staff such as Alex!
