I have visited this post office quite a few times since moving to Heanor. Every time has been a pleasant expirence despite almost every other post office I have been to being run by rude idiots.
However, today that stereotype was once again proven right. I arrived to return an amazon parcel, smiled and said hello to the lady who I can not politey describe. She just frowned at me and said "right....". I explained I had multiple items to return which I had put in one box to save packaging and that amazon told me to get each QR code scanned and a lable put on the box for it. The lady immediately said "no" and began exercising her sliver of power as a post office person. She did everything she could to turn me away and not help solve the problem. Continually interrupting me any time I tried to speak. Eventually I said just put one lable on it and I'll sort it out with Amazon. She disapprovingly agreed and begun telling me what I did to get the return labels. I explained my experience which she informed me was an incorrect experience. This is not the kind of service I expect from a buisness which is paid for and agreed to accepting these parcels.
I am starting a small buisness soon which will require frequent postal service to send items to customers. Because this post office up until now had been so good I had them in mind for a buisness service. After today I will be considering all my other options first.
If you can't handle dealing with postal problems you shouldn't work in a post office.
