About

BankBusiness Banking Services
A banking hub is a shared space providing easy access to everyday cash and face-to-face banking services for customers of the major banks. At this hub you can withdraw cash, pay in cash and cheques, check your balance, pay bills, and access change-giving services (for registered businesses). You can also speak to a community banker from your bank on the day they’re in the hub (no appointment needed). They can help with account queries, fraud support, Power of Attorney and much more. The banking hub is owned by Cash Access UK and operated by the Post Office.

Went into the Banking Hub in Launceston hoping for a bit of help and left feeling thoroughly dismissed. The blonde lady serving was rude in a way that's hard to describe without sounding like I'm exaggerating. Curt, dismissive, the sort of tone that makes you feel like you're wasting her time by simply asking a question. I was only after some information. Nothing complicated. For a place that's meant to be opening up banking access and supporting the community, it doesn't half fall short of the mark. The whole environment felt unpleasant, and I left wondering what the point of it is if this is the experience you get at the counter. What bothers me most is that a service like this will inevitably be dealing with older people, many of whom need patience and a bit of kindness. Speaking to anyone with that level of disrespect is bad enough. Doing it to people who may be less confident navigating these things is worse. A disappointing visit, and not one I'd rush to repeat.
