I’m new with PNC, and honestly my experience so far has been disappointing.
I recently went through the drive-thru to withdraw $4,000 and was made to wait over 15 minutes while the teller called to “see if the check cleared.” The part that frustrated me most was that the check had already been deposited exactly 5 business days ago, yet the teller told me that any check they haven’t had for more than 5 business days had to be verified as cleared. That explanation didn’t make sense, especially since I had already waited the required time.
To make things more confusing, the day before at a different branch I was able to withdraw $3,000 without any extra verification steps. The only limitation there was that they said their weekly “money truck” hadn’t arrived yet, so I couldn’t take out the full amount I originally intended.
When I asked why this branch was treating my withdrawal differently, the teller actually told me that if I wanted more convenience I could go inside and wait. That made no sense to me, staying in the car is the point of using the drive-thru. I also asked her for her name and she refused to answer until I called her back three times. Only then did she finally say her name was Nancy.
It doesn’t make sense that two branches handled things so differently, and neither experience left me with much confidence. To add to that, most PNC branches don’t even have a drive-thru, so this location is one of the few with that convenience…. yet it was anything but convenient.
At this point, I may keep my account open, but PNC definitely won’t be my primary bank. Needless to say, I also will avoid depositing large checks here.

I would never bank with this institution. They allow companies to fraudulently access your funds and then you the customer have to deal with the inconvenience. The customer service at this branch is horrible. If you don’t look Hispanic you will be ignored and they will make you feel uncomfortable. My kids dad waited one hour in the lobby for assistance and at 5:52pm the branch manager finally assisted him and only took 10 minutes. This is a business account for Christ sake. There is no reason to have to keep going to the branch for stupid shit that you should be able to do online. The branch manager couldn’t even appeas the situations

Experience discrimination with this bank. They let people take money out my account the people let Spanish people go ahead of me.

This place has great tellers and really friendly staff, and they work to please every customer that comes in the door.
Small peccadillo, but I'd prefer if the poor tellers weren't tasked with asking every customer who makes a deposit if they want to have immediate access to the money per some fee.

Not deserving of any star. I only selected it because it’s the only forced way to start a review.
The entire PNC banking/corporate is not supportive. They take all your money give little to no positive customer service as a paying customer.
Simply put you pay your bills on time and cooperate and they still charge you additional fees. PNC bank is the second worst bank I’ve dealt with. Note I’m not with this bank by choice; it’s unfortunate that the mortgage housing market dictate the loan consolidation process.
They give you a lot of vague verbiage as if they can help. But when you actually give them the requested information they ask you for more information. This just delays/prolong the process. Then in turn they say you need to start over again. The PNC agents give you a script saying things like you apply for an receive support to help with alleviating payments. Then when I ask what type of support they say I ave to apply with different departments. This is a complete circle for the past year of dealing with PNC and no damn solution from them.
I wish my loan gets bought out by another bank other than PNC.
