It is one of the few places, especially among bank branches, where the staff is so friendly and efficient that they always make my day better. In addition, having deposit and other transaction slips available in Spanish reflects the company’s inclusiveness and values. Thank you for always providing excellent service!

Before starting your banking relationship with PNC, I encourage you to consider my experience—and decide if this is the kind of service you’re willing to accept. I was a long-time Private Client at PNC and had been very happy with my relationship—until the past couple of years, when repeated service failures made me reconsider. I had PNC Online Banking set to automatically pay the statement balance on my PNC Visa each month. A few years ago, one of these payments failed. Instead of processing it electronically from my PNC account, the system issued a paper check. That check never cleared, and PNC placed a stop payment on it—despite there being more than enough funds in my account. I contacted support and was told to transfer the payment directly to my Visa account, since the original check was stopped. Later, when the original check unexpectedly cleared, it was returned, and I was charged fees and interest. Though I resolved the issue after several calls, the returned check still appears on my record. I never received a follow-up, despite requesting a call from the area manager. This experience caused me to move my banking to another bank, though I kept an auto loan with PNC. On June 23, 2025, I went to the Springvale branch to pay off the loan. I spoke with the branch manager, who told me that the only way to pay off the loan was by mailing a check, and they initiated the necessary paperwork. I provided the check and requested that autopay be canceled. The system shows the check was received and posted on June 24—a full day before the due date. Yet on June 25, I received a call from PNC’s collections department. A $29.77 charge appeared, which I later found was caused by autopay attempting to withdraw from my PNC account—which I had already closed at the branch when I paid off the loan. I contacted the branch again and was told the charge would be corrected. However, when I followed up with the loan department, I was told it could take up to 7 business days to update the loan as paid off and resolve the balance. To avoid further issues, I followed the advice of PNC’s customer service agent and paid the $29.77 over the phone. Now, since the account shows a zero balance, PNC is refusing to refund the money—despite it being caused by their own error and system delay. In both cases, PNC made internal errors, caused unnecessary stress, and failed to take responsibility or act promptly. I expected better coordination, faster resolution, and at the very least, acknowledgment of mistakes.
