  No organizer/questionnaire sent to me upon joining the firm, just told to upload documents. No prices listed on their website, had to ask. No offer to communicate with any of the preparers for several weeks, I was corresponding with one of the staff named Hailey who would communicate for me and she is amazing (hope she gets a raise)! Input my address wrong for my business AND personal in my returns, which we corrected. For how much I paid, I was not impressed. If you don’t have time to take on new clients, you could have just told me.

  Honestly I won’t be going through them next year. Everybody is really nice and friendly however, the business end of things are very messy, I did my taxes with them two years in a row and what I think the problem is is that too many people have their hands on One person‘s taxes, nobody communicates in there So when I would reach out through the portal or phone for assistance with whatever I was needing and I would get a call the next day from somebody who had no idea That I had even reached out and this didn’t just happen once or twice it was a pretty regular thing. And then this year, John Who I had met with personally and went over everything apparently did my taxes and forgot to add on my rent which lowered my return substantially. I went back in and talked with a woman. I can’t remember her name, but she got things corrected for me that day, which was great. Like I said, super friendly people and overall they did get everything fixed just too chaotic for me.

  This was our first year using MDA Taxes and I was well satisfied with them. Our return was filed within a couple of weeks of us giving them our records. I had been using TurboTax for years and I can tell they did a more thorough job than TurboTax. My only complaint is trying to use their portal. I was trying to send things from my phone or iPad and maybe that was the problem but I was never confident that want I sent was actually delivered. So, I emailed some extra documents just to be sure they got them. They also made an error by only deducting one car purchase when we had two. They corrected that error the same day and saved us another $400.00. In my opinion, the mark of a good business is not being always perfect but how do they respond to problems. They did that very well. I will continue to use MDA Taxes in the future.

  The staff at MDA Taxes did an excellent job again this year. I have worked with Gloria at MDA Taxes for a number of years and she and her staff always handle the process smoothly and efficiently.
