  Did not feel welcomed at all. They made me feel like a homeless asking for change . I was there to cash my payroll check issued to me from California bank and trust, was treated more like. A police interogation when I asked for an envelope she just pointed in a very rude manner . The most uncomfortable bank transactions ever .

  You won't find a better bank around. I've been going to this bank for decades and they always make the biggest effort to welcome everyone. They go out of their way to help you... they genuinely care about you! They always have a great attitude and work well as a team. Bravo to Denette and Christy for doing an outstanding job of running this Bank!

  Small town bank atmosphere, have dealt with them since 1995 and most of the employees I know there have retired or are still there. The staff are wonderful at not making you feel like just a number or a statistic. I moved away for a while and had closed my account. After coming back to San Diego, I went into the Vista Branch and must say that I couldn't believe the difference a staff can make. I almost discounted doing business with Ca Bank And Trust based on the experience at the Vista Branch but decided to go to the Escondido Branch to see if anyone I knew was still there, Cristy was still there and I opened two accounts and couldn't be happier. Interesting thing is that I escalated a complaint about how I was treated at the Vista Branch and I received from someone to get details, I explained to whomever that person was what had happened and how that staff member (Supervisor level) had insulted me and treated me like a criminal... I was trying to cash a check. They had my California Drivers License, they confirmed that the funds were available on "their commercial account" from which the check had been drawn, They called my employer to make sure that the check was valid and that it had been written to me through our payroll department, she asked our payroll clerk to verify my identity... I work for a large company with a large long standing relationship with Ca. Bank and Trust and then after that she wanted to speak to the Check Signers who are the Company Principle and the Company Controller... (This company has over 100 employees) and right about then, I asked why she needs to speak to my company president and the controller... she got snippy and said it was because of the size of the check... it was only like $2,400.00 or so. Well the short of it is that I left shaken at how deep she went to try and prove to herself that I was a bad guy and by her attempt to validate to herself obviously her unfounded suspicions about me but WHY? I was in casual clothes, etc... so anyhow, after I went and opened two accounts in Escondido and after I explained this to someone via phone call ... from the corporate office (?), they said that they would look it as they take these reports very seriously.... I never received a follow up call... BUT ESCONDIDO IS THE BOMB! Great people and friendly service with a smile. Stay away from the Vista Branch... just my opinion and my review.
