They even offered free cookies when we first went in, but the cookie plate became consistently and mysteriously empty after a couple months. Unfortunately the parent bank pulls the same shenanigans as any other big bank. We got suckered in by an offer of a free account with no minimum balance. I could have sworn they said it was a special offer where there would never be a minimum balance, but when we got hit with a monthly fee I looked at the paperwork and it was only for the first year. Two months later, they discontinued that account and forced us to use a new account that required a $1500 minimum balance or a $9/mo fee. So we closed the account and moved to a credit union with no minimum balance or monthly fee.
