  This was my first time filing taxes, and I had both W-2 income and Uber income, so I really needed proper guidance. Unfortunately, my experience was very frustrating. The tax preparer never asked me about important details like car insurance, mileage, phone bill, or any other expenses related to my Uber work. He just said he would take care of everything, and then told me I owe $2,837 without clearly explaining how that was calculated. I asked multiple times how I could make the payment, but he kept saying he would explain it at the end. In the end, he just told me to check a file he uploaded in the app. There were no clear instructions or helpful information there. I even contacted TurboTax customer support, and they informed me that my tax preparer did not include my phone bill or other relevant expenses at all, which is very concerning. On top of that, it’s very hard to get in touch with them. If I need help, I have to schedule another appointment, which takes 5 to 6 days. That’s not acceptable when you have urgent tax questions. Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve had. I did not feel supported or informed at any point. I will never go back to this person again.

  Went in person to have my taxes done cuase I had to file for 2 different states, Diane was my tax advisor. Apparently there was a “glitch” in the system or who even knows if it was user error at this point but my AZ return was not submitted to me correctly to sign and just showed pending in my turbo tax app. I let the advisor know same day taxes were done and she said ooh just wait for federal and the other state to be accepted and it should show up in the app to sign…NOPE! Come to find out once the federal is accepted you can’t go back and submit in the turbo tax app. Had to go AGAIN in person where Diane told me that we would need to eFile with a third party or mail it in. Diane blindly led me to a 1040.com site to re file my taxes…I asked here even tho we filed federal already is that okay to file again and she said yeah the irs would see its already filed and no worries. Took over an hour at my second appointment to get it filed and Diane said I could request to get my turbo tax fees waived for the inconvenience and had me fill out the link. I asked her if my refund claim was rejected what do I do and she said to contact her and she would fix it. Well come to find out my refund request was rejected and the efile i had done on the 1040 site that Diane instructed me to go to. I wrote her in the app and her tone completely changed saying there was nothing she can do to help me with the fees even tho she said earlier she would and I would need to paper file my taxes. I asked her to provide me my forms then that she processed on the turbo tax program and she stated she couldn’t do that and I needed to go to the third party site to get the forms and mail them. I let her know she is the one who blindly had me go to a different site to files my taxes and now she is holding my tax return hostage…no response from her until I called In and escalated the issue THEN she magically was able to provide me my tax return to print…still no refund either. GARBAGE service and lesson learned to just keep doing my taxes myself.
