- BHbrandon HeartsillDec 26, 20251.0A day or two before Christmas I received a check from my retirement that i had borrowed and the check was issued from PNC so I figured I would just cash it there instead of depositing it that way I would have the cash instead of waiting on the funds to clear. I went to cash it and they wouldn't cash it because they said they didnt have enough funds on hand to cash it. This check was 10000 so it wasnt like it was a massive amount. They said they only had 5000 on hand and that was for there customers and that I would have to make an appointment in order so they could get the money there. They then told me that they would charge me a 2.5 percent fee just for cashing the check even though its issued by them. INSANE
