For over 40 years, Greathouse Funeral Home has served the families of Salem and surrounding areas. In 2011 it was purchase by a local funeral director David W Bolyard Jr who resided in Harrison County and grew up on a farm in Preston County. It being locally owned and opereated with affordable funeral and cremation services is very important as well as having the only crematory in Harrison County so your loved one never leaves our care or the county to be taken care of. We strive on excellent service and great price.

    Davis Funeral Home has provided outstanding care and compassion during some of the most difficult times. I can’t say enough about the staff especially Karla Collins. They are amazing to work with—kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. They made the entire process feel manageable and was always attentive to our needs. The staff at Davis Funeral Home treated our family with dignity and respect, ensuring every detail was handled with care. We are deeply grateful for their professionalism and compassion and highly recommend them to anyone in need of thoughtful, caring service.

    Wonderful viewing and funeral service for my Dad. They went over and above in every area and were so helpful through the entire process. We had a large group and they accommodated everything we requested and were so professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

    My review is about a year late, but I figured it’s never a bad time to share a positive experience. My grandfather passed away last year, and Davis was wonderful to my family and I. They were very accommodating to all of our needs (including our religious needs), and wants. They recognized that several family members would be traveling from out of state, and would want to see him before he was laid to rest. They made the process very easy for my grandmother who was grieving the loss. Day of services, everyone was so kind and welcoming to us and the services, and location were beautiful. My grandpa looked very handsome too, and I appreciated that a lot. Thank you to all the staff at Davis for taking care of my family and I!!
