No matter your story, we welcome you to join us as we all try to be a little bit better, a little bit kinder, a little more helpful—because that’s what Jesus taught. We are a diverse community of followers of Jesus Christ and welcome all to worship here. We fellowship together as well as offer youth and children’s programs.
Jesus Christ can make you a better person. You can make us a better community. Come worship with us. Church services are held every Sunday. Visitors are always welcome.
Good, clean church. The members are not as welcoming to newcomers but the bishop was!

Obviously I love my Church. I was an atheist 50 years ago for 3 years. At the end of relying on the "force" for that period my life was a mess, as in jail. I was aquited, but it was a wake up call and I finally knew there had been a God answering my prayers. I spent the next 2 years of my life looking for the Lord's church. After lots of frustrating faiths, I begged the Lord for help. Long story, but He promptly sent some one to work for me and show me where the fullness of the Gospel was, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined and have tried to share with as many as would listen, serving numerous missions.
This building is an older facility that is in wonderful condition. It serves 2 wards or congregations. It's West Virginia, people here are friendly, life is inexpensive. We attend the Huntington 2nd ward, but switch back and forth because of scheduling challenges. Both wards are older, 1st being smaller and more senior members. 2nd ward changes a lot because of numerous medical and college students. For that reason they have many more children. There is always a solid core of members that are constant.
My wife is Catholic. We have been married for almost 10 years (a December romance). One commitment we made was to support each other's faith. So we get a lot of Church and opportunity to serve. We go to Mass at St. Peter Claver in Huntington. It is a nominally Black congregation with lots of energy and outreach. One reason we retired here was the large number of congratulations of each of our faiths. This allows us to worship at my church (meetings starting at 9 AM or 11 AM) and hustle over to her Church for 11 AM mass. We are blessed to have these choises
