The relationship between residents and staff cannot be beat! The community is more like a family, and you can tell by the way everyone interacts with each other. Staffing turnover is also super low, which is definitely not the norm. As for the rooms, after looking at other floor plans around the city, Truewood has some of the best square footage and amenities. With a fireplace, full kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit, and private balconies/patios, this is the best location for independent living. I would recommend them to anyone.
How is it legal to keep two entire floors of elderly people with mobility issues trapped for almost a month? Is it ok for them to miss holidays with their families? Dr. appointments? Lunch with their friends? Walks outside for exercise and fresh air? The dining room for dinner? The grocery store?
That's exactly what's happening at Truewood with a single broken elevator for two entire wings of the building. Enough is enough! It was an emergency last month, it's an emergency now. Fix it!!
Unacceptable conditions at this facility. The elevator has been broken for over three weeks, leaving people on the second and third floors unable to leave their rooms. Both unsafe and neglectful. After a recent visit I’ve seen how isolating and dehumanizing this situation is and how this has negatively impacted members sense of dignity, and emotional wellbeing. Tried contacting several times no response, this demands immediate action.

The elevator on one side has been out of commission since three days before Christmas and my elderly disabled friend who lives on an upstairs floor could not get downstairs and out the door to celebrate the holidays with her family. The elevator repair status as of mid January is, currently waiting on a permit, having already, waited on a part, for several weeks. So my friend is stuck in her apartment or uses her walker up and down the hall for physical exercise but which is not good for her mental health. And just now I read an earlier review that said the elevator issue is a repeated occurrence at this place. How can anyone say this is quality care? More like elder abuse to me. Surely with the income the rent generates at this facility they could afford to hire a reputable and efficient elevator repair service to maintain a dependable necessity for the disabled and the elderly.

I totally appreciate the way management and staff work together in support and respect for each other.
