- JPJosh PhillipsFeb 20, 20261.0I am extremely disappointed in the recent changes to the locker room facilities here. Management has removed the "0 - 14" changing room designation and rebranded the area as "Men and Boys." As a parent, this is a major red flag. Removing the "0 to 14" label and allowing older men to freely use a "boys" area(without a accompanying minor) takes away the expectation of parental supervision and transparency, creating an environment that is less safe for children. It feels like the comfort of older members is being prioritized over the actual safety of minors. Furthermore, the "reasonable accommodations" offered are completely inadequate: There are only 6 private rooms for the entire gym. Only 2 have toilets (which are also the only handicapped stalls), leading to long lines and accessibility conflicts. The rooms without toilets are often dirty and used as general overflow, making them unsuitable for young kids. The YMCA receives government funding and has a responsibility to provide a safe, functional environment for families. Until family friendly signage is restored and dedicated, clean spaces are prioritized for parents and children, I cannot recommend this branch to local families. Management needs to do better.

I love bringing my nanny kid here for classes and swimming, will the kids slide in the pool be replaced soon? I was told it was in need of repair, I wish there were more options for toddlers in the little beach area, maybe some balls or floaties? They have areas at various community rec centre's I have been too that put out floating mats and pool noodles/balls etc in a designated area
