The services begin with a general meeting for the whole family, with sermons typically prepared and delivered by lay-clergy based on scripture, personal experiences, and prayerful inspiration. The congregation is kind and welcoming to respectful visitors of any background and the Bishop (spiritual leader of the congregation) is particularly nice. The congregation joins in singing hymns and receives the Lord's supper in this "Sacrament Meeting". Afterward, kids and adults separate for Sunday School, with lessons (this year) from the Old Testament taught in the Savior's way (interactive, thought-provoking).
