  Shout out to Taffy and the rest of the staff at Avista. I have been struggling to find an affordable place for my grandma and they were so kind and patient. Taffy spent time with me explaining my options and providing me a tour of their beautiful building. I appreciate how helpful they were, and everyone was so friendly!!

  My grandmother stayed there for several months while her husband was recovering from surgery, and the experience was truly wonderful. The staff were incredibly caring, attentive, and always willing to accommodate her needs. They made her feel welcome and supported from the moment she arrived. She hadn’t been that lively or social in years, but during her stay she made several meaningful friendships and enjoyed participating in activities with other residents. Even now that she’s back home, she still goes back on weekends just to have lunch with the friends she made there. It’s clear that the team at Avista truly cares about the people who live there and works hard to create a warm, engaging environment. It’s a wonderful place that really feels like a community and a place anyone would be lucky to call home.

  Not only does the building have a beautiful and homey feeling to it. The staff is unbelievable, saying they care is a complete understatement i have witnessed on at least 2 occasions staff come in on their day off to celebrate birthdays as well as sit with residents in their final hours. That is how close they become to the people they care for. They genuinely care, and enjoy their job which to me is an important factor to consider when leaving your loved ones in the hands of others.

  I can honestly say Avista is a little hidden gem right in the heart of Ferndale. Every time I've visited I have definitely felt the love from the whole community there. The monthly friends and family dinners they do, just goes to show what great lengths the Avista team goes to, to make their residents and families feel special. I would definitely recommend. 10 out of 10! JRL

  It’s hard to describe how amazing this facility is, the staff actually genuinely treat the residents like their own family. Everyone is so helpful and communicative. They really do try their hardest to make everyone happy even if it doesn’t always work lol
