- LLldsnanaMar 4, 20265.0We have moved a lot for my husband's work and so we've attended many wards and branches throughout the US. This little branch in rural Vermont has been one of the most welcoming and loving branches I've been to. There are no cliques, everyone reaches out to new friends or returning members. It really is like a family! But like any church or group of humans in general, you generally get out of it what you put into it. Go with love in your heart and that will be multiplied! The spirit is great!
- KDKristoph DuellNov 7, 20251.0I did not feel welcome. The preacher did not introduce me at all and he didn’t even preach. Church members spoke. I did not feel comfortable at Bible study so I sat out with my friend who had me come as a visitor and one of the women that claims she is higher up as a member of this church degraded her and put her in tears in front of others. I’m thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with how my friend was cornered and treated. The members and teenagers cursing and acting out terribly. In my day if I was a teen as a part of youth group and I acted out that badly in church I wouldn’t be rewarded with concerts and going to the movies with other youth members I would be told to sit on out. I felt very uncomfortable when watching the youth act out that I sat in the car with my friend waiting on a ride back to her home with her. I felt my friend was very bullied by members and she is severely disabled. Not cool and I won’t be going back.
