For over 40 years, Small World Child Care has been providing quality & safe Daycare, Preschool, Private Kindergarten, and Before & After School Care in the Salt Lake City area. We are State Licensed and ALL staff members are first aid and CPR certified. We offer flexible, part and full time care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years, a nutritional food program, Preschool, private Kindergarten, an age appropriate curriculum for each age group, and Before and After School Care with transportation to and from our local schools. We offer extra-curricular activities at the centers including dance, tumbling, and karate. We also offer state assisted tuition, flexible tuition payment options, and Extended Hours to help our working parents!
We have 2 centers in the Salt Lake City area. Located in West Jordan and West Valley City, both are conveniently located right off of Bangerter Hwy.
Small World Child Care centers have been designed to provide a quality education program that seeks to stimulate your child to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically. Each classroom provides a wide variety of experiences where children learn more about themselves and the world around them. Your child will learn and develop through music and creative movement, group play, sharing, community field trips, arts and crafts, science, values, and self-awareness. Our school age children enjoy a fun filled Summer Camp including daily outings on field trips, optional swimming lessons, and in house guests.

- DSDoug Smeath-LivasNov 16, 20185.0We LOVE Small World West Valley! Our 2-year-old has been able to stay home with a parent most of his little life. Last year, we had a brief need for daycare for a couple of months, and we took him somewhere else—an experience that was fine but nothing special, just a tough change in routine that we were eager to survive and get through. This year, though, we have needed daycare once again—temporary again, but longer this time. We decided to give Small World a try, and from the beginning, we've been so glad we did. From the moment we walk in in the morning and everyone—even teachers from the other age groups—greet our son by name with a smile and a sincere "GOOD MORNING!", to the moment I pick him up and find him laughing and playing in a nurturing room with music and art and color and joy, I know that he's having a fun, enriching day every hour I can't be with him. But where it really shows is at home—where he constantly wows me with new skills like bringing his plate to the sink after dinner, cleaning up his toys without being asked, and saying "thank you" when receiving a snack. I try my best to teach him these things, but the influence of the amazing teachers and other kids in his class has definitely been key to his learning and growing. I can't say enough about the outstanding, caring teachers, the attentive and engaged director and assistant directors, and the loving atmosphere at Small World. When I drop him off in the mornings, I wish I could just stay there instead of heading off to work! What a great place! If we ever need daycare again, we know where to go, and if asked by family or friends for a recommendation for daycare, Small World West Valley gets our wholehearted endorsement! (Did I mention that Small World actually costs significantly LESS than the previous daycare we attended, despite being worth SO MUCH MORE?!)

- SGSue GatherumMay 1, 20155.0I started taking my then 1 year old in 2008. He is now 8 and still goes to Small World as a "grader" for their after school program as well as their summer camp. I also have a 4 year old, 3 year old and an 8 month old that attend and have been there since they were 6 weeks old. I love the center and the comfort my kids feel when they are there. I love the staff and love that I can communicate with them about my children. They have planned out curriculum so I know what my kids are learning about and my kids always come home signing or come with art projects. They truly have become like family and I know that my kids are in a safe and learning environment. I have and would continue to recommend Small World to anyone that has child care needs.
