Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.

So many great experiences here. You can feel the presence of the Lord. This place has a lovely visitor's center and immaculate grounds for people to come and enjoy. While Temple worship is reserved for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints everyone can come and visit, walk the grounds, and talk with the mission about what goes on in temples and the history of this beautiful building built in the early days of the settlement of Utah.

This is my verry favorite LDS temple. It is crazy to think that it was built by pioneers in the 18 hundreds.

This temple has a very special place in my heart. As the first temple built in Utah, it testifies of sacrifice, obedience, and enduring faith. Inside the temple, sacred ordinances are performed that help us draw closer to God and make eternal covenants. Every time I come here, I feel peace, clarity, and a strong reminder that families can be together forever through Jesus Christ.
