About

Church
*Please visit the temple website for open hours and appointments.* Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.

Provo City Center Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place right in the heart of the city. I’ve visited the grounds multiple times, and it always feels calm and well maintained. The architecture is impressive, especially knowing the history of the building and how thoughtfully it was restored. Even just walking around the exterior and nearby area is a nice experience. It’s a meaningful landmark in Provo and adds a quiet, respectful presence downtown. Whether you’re visiting for spiritual reasons or simply appreciating the architecture, it’s a place worth stopping by.
