The Lindon Utah Temple open house will be held Thursday, 12 March through Saturday, 11 April 2026 — excluding Saturday, April 4. Following the open house, it will be dedicated Sunday, 3 May 2026. The temple was announced on 4 October 2020 by Pres. Russell M. Nelson as the 25th temple in the state. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 23 April 2022. Plans call for a three-story building of approximately 81,000 square feet with two equally-sized spires.
Waited in line for an hour and a half and thought it was wonderful that they brought out umbrellas to shave people from the sun as well as huge water coolers so that we could drink as we waited in the hot sun. Beautiful temple inside and out.

Beautiful temple. I have been to other open houses and have had wonderful experiences. Unfortunately my experience at this one has me quite hurt. The lines were confusing so I asked a couple of the guides where they would like me to go. I received multiple different answers and when I stood somewhere I was told to go, I was rudely redirected to another area. Going into the temple one of the volunteers was very impatient with a mother who was trying to take care of her baby. The woman talking to her was no where near gentle and came across as quite condescending. Once I got into the temple the first part was great. As we were walking through I had an usher look me up and down, shake the side of her skirt and look at me with raised eyebrows. Seemingly wondering why I was not wearing one. Then we were traveling to another room and another usher told me to put my hand down as I pointed to a painting to show my partner how I thought it was beautiful. Not a word or sound left my mouth, I was quiet and fairly reverent. I am a member of the church, I know the expectations. Another room we went to we were told to take our time, as soon as we sat down we were asked to stand back up and then rushed out. It was hasty, I didnt have to take anything in and the ushers were abrupt and not so gentle. I get being direct, I work in customer service. I understand they have to keep a flow going. And at the same time they didnt need to be condecending. I am highly dissapointed and hurt. The culture around the church here in Utah would benefit from having a character check. We are not better than anyone else. We are not all high and mighty just because we are members of a certain religion. I sincerely hope others have had better experiences.

This beautiful temple with gothic steeples on the east and west ends is a majestic, sacred, holy House of the Lord where we bind ourselves to our Heavenly Father through covenant relationships. The exterior marble was quarried in Italy. The motif of the temple is the blossoms from the Linden tree. The Holdman Studios in Lindon, Utah created the gorgeous stained glass windows. This is a large temple with four ordinance rooms and two baptismal fonts.Check out the Holdman Instagram account for more stunning photos!

I'd like to share this comment in hopes it might improve.
When we were guided through the temple, it was hardly a line to wait. It might have been maybe 10 minutes. Our guide during the open house went extremely fast. We were just a checklist, people to get through as fast as possible rather than enjoy the spirit or the temple.
Without any comment from me, my 4 and 6 year old both articulately said 'it would have been better if we could have stopped and looked at some of the rooms. I either wanted it to go faster or go slower.'
We were at the front of the line with our group, my mom 74 years old went at her own pace but commented afterwards that she felt very rushed and somebody even asked her 'why don't you use the elevator?'...
I stayed with my two daughters during the open house, and when we got to the celestial room.... I made the decision to pause to actually talk to them about it and enjoy the view. It was obviously the best moment of the tour for us because I took the time to do this. We went to the front of the line to the back with a huge gap of about 15 ft before we began to start moving slowly outside of the celestial room.
I'm a member, but I don't think this was curated to be a tour for either members or non-members. There was no pause for comments, no moments to take any of this in. One of the volunteers commented to my girls to look for the butterflies on the floor. This was the most interaction we had from anyone, and I appreciate this sister. I write this and pray people will remember this is the house of the Lord. My focus on inviting the spirit only helped so much with the atmosphere. Unity of respect and inviting the spirit would be appreciated.

The Lindon Temple open house was beautiful, both inside and out. The attention to detail and peaceful atmosphere made it a really special experience.
The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of an uncomfortable interaction near the entrance. An elderly man who appeared to be an usher kept complimenting me in a way that felt inappropriate and stood uncomfortably close without warning. It took away from what was otherwise a very uplifting visit.
I share this just so others, especially women can be aware and look out for themselves.
