If I could give them 100 stars I would. I lost my husband unexpectedly 2 weeks ago, and Becker-Ritter was the first AND last funeral home I called. Mike is the most wonderful funeral director that I could of ever asked for. Some get indifferent, because they see death every day. But not Mike. He was so kind, and so comforting during such a sad time in me and my family's life. He told a beautiful story about gladiolas being the funeral flower-i will never forget it. The funeral home was SO beautiful too. I think my husband would have approved. Mike and his staff were so accommodating, and during my husband's viewing, he let us stay as long as we needed. He was so attentive. My husband looked so peaceful our last time seeing him in this life. Mike, you are wonderful, kind and sympathetic. Exactly what we're needed to get thru this. Thank you so much for everything you've done for us.

When my father passed aways in February of 2026, I utilized Becker-Ritter to handle planning his cremation and funeral arrangements. I dealt with Tara and everything she did was just outstanding. She made a difficult process very simple for us. I would absolutely recommend Becker-Ritter to anyone needing to arrange funeral services for a loved one. If I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would. They are true professionals and wonderful at that they do!!

I would recommend this business, for one of the hardest things we've had to endure. Tara treated us like family.

The staff were so incredibly warm and helpful. They spent so much time just walking us thru every possible scenario we could encounter. The facility is very beautiful and, being Christmas, it was beautifully decorated. I am so grateful for their assistance. It is very easy to find and parking is abundant. They also have parking for physically disabled.

Frequently Asked Questions About Becker-Ritter Funeral Home

Should I choose Burial or Cremation?

Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together. A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.

Why are funerals so expensive?

When compared to other major life events like births and weddings, funerals are not expensive. A wedding costs at least three times as much; but because it is a happy event, wedding costs are rarely criticized. A funeral home is a 24-hour, labor-intensive business, with extensive facilities (viewing rooms, chapels, limousines, hearses, etc.), these expenses must be factored into the cost of a funeral. Additionally, the cost of a funeral includes not only merchandise, like caskets, but the services of a funeral director in making arrangements; filing appropriate forms; dealing with doctors, ministers, florists, newspapers and others; and seeing to all the necessary details. Funeral directors look upon their profession as a service, but it is also a business. Like any business, funeral homes must make a profit to exist.
