I was so disappointed with our experience at this location.
I transferred my son here from the University Place location after he had been struggling with bullies though he had strong relationships with the teachers, caregivers and other kids and the overall care was satisfactory.
I expected a similar outcome with the north Tacoma location however that was not the case. Right off the bat there were issues. The kids were completely out of control. I am an open minded parent and I understand that kids will be kids but this was out right neglectful. My son began bringing home intense behavioral issues. My step daughter was terrified to come to class each day. She would cry at night begging us not to take her there. My son loved it because he had no boundaries to follow and could act as chaotic as he wanted. At one point my son was just allowed to run outside without any supervision and not one teacher tried to stop him.
The teachers used yelling in an attempt to control the kids. I walking in on kids being aggressively shouted at on multiple occasions ( in multiple classrooms) and the teachers either tried to play it off or they acted like that was the run of the mill. The teachers were routinely having inappropriate and unprofessional conversations openly in front of the children or they’d be checked out like they were dead inside and never said hello.
There were months of no solid management and a lack of a center director. It was chaotic and confusing for everyone and clearly the staff was suffering which affected the care of the children. There seemed to be high turnover in staff.
The center is not well cared for. It’s not very sanitary. There were multiple lice outbreaks. I understand that these places don’t get much funding but of all the centers I toured this was by far the most in disrepair.
Finally I decided to unenroll both our children and found a different daycare (not a kindercare) and thankfully, both of my kids are doing so well! My son has calmed down, become more gentle and respectful, spends time engaged in calm activities. My step daughter has flourished and has become more comfortable, enjoys her new school and hasn’t complained at all. She spends a lot of her time in daycare doing things she loves.
I urge you to reconsider your options if you are looking into this daycare center. Unfortunately, it is heavily flawed and is not doing good things for the kids. There ARE other options. I greatly regret sending my kids there. I wish I had looked at other options sooner.
Best wishes.
EDIT: I forgot to mention this part! After unenrolling my son, I asked for a refund of their $60 summer fee since he wouldn’t be attending the summer. The director agreed and assured me that she had sent a request to have a check sent to me. A few months went by and I never received a check so I began making phone calls to the center once a week. I could not get a hold of the director. No staff would help me other than “leave a message” which was never responded to. Finally I was able to get ahold of the director. It was then a few days later I got an email stating my request for refund was submitted and then I waited an additional few weeks to receive the check. It was absolutely ridiculous and frustrating.

I love this daycare! My baby is been there for 6 months now and the attention is great, he is always happy when I pick him up and Nicole is amazing, she is super quick to answer all your questions and help you navigate everything. As a new mom leaving my 6 month old baby was hard but they honestly made it easier.
Would definitely recommend.

I am so grateful for the wonderful experience my daughter has had at this nursery. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, always ensuring that she feels safe and happy. They treat the children with kindness and respect, creating a nurturing environment that allows them to thrive. Communication with the staff is excellent; they always keep us informed about our daughter’s progress and daily activities. Additionally, the nursery is very clean and well-maintained, which gives us peace of mind. I highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a loving and supportive place for their child .

I came here 12 years ago. My daughter attended here when I was going to TCC. She also started screaming crying when I dropped her off the second day and so on. I don't know what is going on at this place. But when I came to pick her up one day early she was moved to a different room by herself and a teacher. She was puffy eyed and crying. The lady was knelt down behind a counter on the floor with my daughter and I asked why is she crying. She said because she didn't want to take a nap. I took my daughter and never returned.my daughter was fine the first day I dropped her off and after that she screamed every time I dropped her off after that. So I stopped taking her.
