"I have lived in this community for almost 30 years. In that time, I have been lucky enough to own four dogs, walking each of them at the park adjacent to the church every day of their lives. Everyone knew one in particular named Hooch. I raised my son playing at that park; it’s where he learned to ride his bike.I have also volunteered my time tending to this park for these three decades. Once a month, I go around with a bucket and a scooper—even after I lost my leg and became wheelchair-bound, and even after having both thumbs amputated. I still do it today, even with only two pinkies left.Yesterday, while walking my dog, I noticed families gathering to ride their bikes. I thought it was the perfect time to let them know about our current water crisis—the data center pollution and the new gold mining—and the toxic levels that are going to harm our water. I asked a woman if she wouldn’t mind discussing it and tried to give her information. She politely smirked, told me about her 'magic water filter system,' and sent me and my dog on our way.As I listened to her mock me in front of their congregation, I wondered: was it my bright green wheelchair? My service dog, Jake? My beard? Or was it simply that I wasn't 'one of their kind'? Whatever it was, I can honestly say I have never been so insulted in my life. I’m glad I don’t have what it takes to be 'their kind,' because what I saw was as ugly as a human can be. I am thankful not to be a part of that."

Fantastic church built on the foundation of christ and his prophets.
"I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!"- prophet Joseph smith.
