My son is autistic and so I’m always hyper paranoid of his safety and how he’s treated. I never had to worry about that here. Everyone there impressed me with how inclusive and caring they were. All the teachers, not just my son’s teacher, knew him and would always be happy to see him and say hello. That mattered, and meant, a lot to us. If it says anything, his teacher gave us a special going-away gift and we all got very emotional when we had to leave. He made actual friends there and it warmed my heart. My son is nonverbal but I knew he was comfortable there because I saw him smiling whenever I saw him and he never hesitated to go to his class. The director, Stephanie, has a gentle and patient way with children and just radiates positivity. I’ve seen her go the extra mile with children; she makes time and space for literally anyone whenever they need it. She’s super sweet and compassionate with all of them, especially kids who might be struggling. The teachers there have a good rapport with each other and the kids, and are always kept on the same page. They dance and act goofy, play pretend with the kids one-on-one, read, sing songs, do hands-on crafts including holidays, and have things like workbooks and Bingo for the older kids. They were really on top of ordering things in advance and didn’t skimp out on any expense. Incidentally they value keeping the classrooms and equipment clean a LOT which is pretty crucial with children lol. Their response to COVID was really swift and consistent, which showed me that they took the health of the children and staff seriously. As a special needs parent I felt heard and accommodated when in other circumstances I was sadly called nitpicky or my son was overlooked. We gained so many happy memories here and it was a very special time in our lives. I truly feel like he couldn’t have been in better hands.

I love the Kindercare team at the E. Lake Sammamish location! They are doing their very best. Sometimes things are hectic and kids get sick. But let me tell you.... that's normal. How would your house look with that many kids? Not nearly as clean and organized as the center is. The staff have toilet trained my 2.5 year old. They do art, teach lessons, teach songs, play with and feed my child when I am at work. I am so thankful for this loving group of people. They are people folks, and they've made it their job to take care of your kids. They should be paid more.
