  I've been a member here for years and come five days a week, and I still think it's one of the best values in Pierce County. The weight room was recently redone and it shows: six full squat racks with deadlift platforms, plenty of plates, and a turf area for sled pushes and carries. You rarely wait for a rack, and when you do, people are quick to offer to work in. The culture on the floor is what keeps me coming back. It's serious lifters and beginners side by side, everyone racks their weights, and nobody is there to show off. Beyond the weight room, the facility has everything: a great pool, a full schedule of classes, and pickup basketball that runs most evenings, with Saturdays being the best games in the area. The staff are friendly, know the regulars by name, and keep the place clean and running smoothly. What sets this Y apart, though, is what it does for the community. Kids have a safe place to spend their afternoons, and families can participate regardless of income. I'd honestly keep paying my dues even if I stopped coming, because this is an organization that does real good for the people around it. If you're looking for a gym, this one is better than most. If you're looking for a place that actually makes the neighborhood better, this is it. Not a gym designed to make profit but to serve the community. Five stars, without hesitation.

  So far ive had a great experience with the front desk. Several workers not just one and at seperate times. The life guards (teens) answered every question for my son who kept asking things. The only downfall(minus one star) so far for my family is most of the things they were excited for are either not in season yet or not at this location. So all 3 kids are kind of upset about not being able to do certain classes. Otherwise its been great.

  The puyallup location will be my go to next year. They have the patience one needs to work with kids . Everyone was friendly and seemed to actually like their job

  Deb at the front desk always greets us with a smile. Everyone is polite, and there are a lot of options for the whole family to connect with.

  They have so much variety it's insane. Classes, day camp, court, track, pool, family areas, daycare, even a snack bar... I would give it a 4.8 if I could. The only issue I would mention is the cleanliness. I don't think it's anyone's fault because humans can be gross. But the overflow of towels everywhere and hair all over the locker rooms is not my favorite. I do appreciate all the friendly staff and the philosophy they embody as an organization.
