  My daughter was bullied for her entire week of camp. Counselors never intervened once - either ill equipped or over worked and/or just didn’t care. Awaiting a response from admin. We are deeply troubled by this behavior, as the whole premise of CS is inclusivity, and belonging. When you send your child to overnight camp you are trusting they will be cared for. My daughter was not- instead she was deeply wounded by her week here.

  This was my daughter's 4th year at Camp Seymour, and it holds a special place in her heart, and our family's. This year, however, she was bullied and excluded by the girls in her cabin. They repeatedly left her behind in the cabin and headed off to meals and activities without her, so she was essentially alone the entire time. At one point, she was screamed f-bombs at by other campers. You can even see it in the camp's own photos: she's alone. Counselors should have easily noticed this and corrected it. We are still awaiting a response from camp administrators. This was heartbreaking, devastating, and utterly disappointing for our young daughter. She was othered, excluded, and in pain the entire week. We cannot imagine sending her back unless considerable steps are taken to repair the damage done to her, along with clear steps outlined to ensure this does not happen again. No camper deserves that experience, ever.

  My son had an amazing time. Loved all the activities, and all the counselors. He came back happy and tired. (Didnt even miss mom or dad). Great program. Will be back next year.
