As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temples hold a very special place in my heart. They are different from our regular Sunday meetinghouses. We consider the Temple the House of the Lord, a sacred place where we worship Jesus Christ, make covenants with God, and participate in ordinances that unite families for eternity. Even though this Temple is still under construction, I love driving by and watching the progress. It is exciting to think about the peace, beauty, worship, and service that will take place here for generations to come. When the Temple is completed, I especially hope members of our community who aren't Latter-day Saints will take the opportunity to visit during the public open house. You don't have to be a member of our faith to come and see what makes a Temple so special. We are blessed to have the beautiful Portland Oregon Temple nearby now, and I am so excited that we will soon have a Temple right here in Southwest Washington to call our own. ❤️

They don't tell you everything right away including how weird what goes on in the temple is! ¡Infórmate bien antes de unirte a esta iglesia! ¡Entra con los ojos bien abiertos!
