  I’d like to say that my family will always be grateful for the services you all provided for my family in our horrible time of need. Burying a loved ones is never easy burying our 12 year old was one the hardest experience I had to go through. The way they handled our family and the arrangements and how they prepared everything and accommodated my family was spectacular. To have never meet any one of your staff you made it feel very much like family. My family was more than pleased with care you took of our family. It’s was all very beautiful and I dont know how else to put it words everything about my experience with you all but I highly recommend you to assist a family or anyone in a time of need.   I cant say enough good things about Oakeys. When dealing with something of this nature and for me the first time.. Oakeys will get you through the process. They know just what to do , what you need to do and assist you along the way. And with compassion for your situation. Dont want to leave a super long review here.. to sum it up.. they are awesome. You wont be disappointed if you use their services. Great people to have when dealing with a loss. Thank you to everyone that assisted me and those I didnt get a chance to meet. Great team.

  My father and I had a wonderful experience with John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in planning my mother's funeral. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for funeral services in the Salem area. I was very impressed with everyone I came into contact with throughout the experience. Each staff member was very caring. Jeff Wolfe was our main contact. He spent several hours meeting with us and helping us chose products. I never felt rushed. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable. He was also very responsive when I emailed him with a question or if I wanted to relay information to him. There is so much to take care of in planning the funeral, and he stayed on top of it all. The staff assisted us with every aspect of the funeral from filling out the death certificate, to writing the obituary, to picking out a casket, to creating a memorial video with pictures, and creating memorial folders. I was also pleased with the quality and variety of product choices they have from memorial folders to caskets. We held the viewing at Oakey's and they have beautiful space. Their embalming staff did a wonderful job. Mom looked lovely. They had a great team on the day of the funeral to assist at the church and cemetery. They made sure the day was successful. My dad kept saying that he wanted a funeral that Mom would be proud of, and John M. Oakey & Son made sure that happened.
