  I had the misfortune of talking to someone who said she was the owner's daughter. As she was hanging up without saying goodbye, she called out 'rude' to me for no reason. I would think twice about bringing my child to people with this attitude.

  Melanie, Aubrey and the staff are fantastic. Our daughter is thriving and she always looks forward to going to school. We appreciate all the care and love that the staff gives on a daily basis to her. They keep us updated on everything with her, new staff and anything going on at the center .. This is our second home and will recommend this location.

  Amazing! I am so impressed by the ladies that take such great care of my sons here. We have kiddos in the baby & a pre-K room. As someone who works in the prosecution of crimes against children, Im an extra crazy mom when it comes to picking childcare ... but I am totally comfortable with this place & how they care for my children. Hours are great. They also make drop off and pick up super easy. Communication is so easy. I can easily call / email and get an instant response. There’s also an amazing app that tells me what my kiddos are eating and when they nap. This really helps me plan when to leave work so I don’t interrupt a nap / know when they’re running out of bottles. They also upload to our personal portal on the app the best pictures of our kiddos - always makes me smile at work! For the older kid, I also get his detailed lesson plan so that I know what to ask him about his day. My big kid’s Teachers communicate great about achievements or concerns with our kid. I always feel like I’m in the loop with what is going on with my kiddos. The baby room teachers are so loving, nurturing, and patient. I love to watch my lil guy snuggle into his favorite ladies when we drop him off. Most importantly - my kiddos looooove going here! Fun activities, art, learning, awesome playground & outside toys. They have a neat “Phonics” program which is making learning “super fun” according to my very active lil guy who usually can’t sit still to learn. They have a very busy summer program - my kiddo loves looking at the summer program calendar to see what the special activity is - especially the days the ice cream truck comes ! Also very military family friendly. When we had problems with our ChildCare Aware paperwork, Ms Aubrey was the best and helping us figure it out. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough - I will be sad when my kiddos graduate out of here!

  Our daughter first went to Silverbrook KinderCare in Lorton when she was 10 weeks old. As a first-time mom, I was nervous to send my very young infant to day care. I was welcomed with open arms and supportive staff. The wonderful teachers put my mind at ease every time I would drop her off or pick her up she was well cared for: being held, playing with other infants, teachers, etc. When she transitioned to another class room, and now Pre-K (my daughter has been at the center and transitioned to Pre-K this year after her 4th birthday) her vocabulary is outstanding, the play-centered learning environment that is positive and supportive, basic Spanish is incorporated in all class settings, art projects, large outdoor playground, the exposure to healthy foods (they teach healthy food and offer healthy foods and incorporate how to cook too) AND she is enrolled in the music class. Ms. Krystal, Ms. Shabina, Ms. Elizabeth, Ms. Ida, and Ms. Dede are wonderful! The staff has tenure with the school creating a great teamwork environment and gives my daughter a sense of comfort as she sees her teachers and has grown up with them. I highly recommend this top notch daycare. They have just started a STEM program as well which I’m looking forward to exploring for my daughter. If you haven’t met Ms. Aubrey and Ms. Melanie, you are missing an opportunity. The both treat each child at the as if they were her own. Thank you Silverbrook KinderCare Lorton for making a difference every day in my daughter’s life!
