Temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are considered houses of God, a place of holiness and peace separate from the preoccupations of the world. They provide a place where Church members make formal promises and commitments to God. They are also the place where the highest sacraments of the faith occur — the marriage of couples and the "sealing" of families for eternity. Temples serve as the only place where ceremonies such as baptism and eternal marriage can be performed on behalf of those who have died. Temples point Latter-day Saints to Jesus Christ and their eventual life with Him.
I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since the early 90's and have found my life fullfilled with peace and comfort, knowing that I belong to His Church!
The Church that represents the Fullness of His Teachings and Ordinances that will guide me through this earthly life to reach my Eternal resting place with and along with my sealed Eternal Husband Companion once again who was taken home in the year of 1990 but has remained in my heart still.

My name is not “Stephanie “I may not be an active member, but the records you have on me and my daughter are incorrect. If I am entitled to my family genealogy, you’re really rerouting more than my name. 😔

I have never been inside, as I was to young to have my temple recommend before the renovation begun. I think that it is a beautiful building. But more importantly I think the ordanances that happen inside are the most beautiful part. I am very grateful for the renovation because it has made me want to visit even more. I think the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is doing a wonderful job on the renovations. I have seen the models and I am very excited to be able to go see it in the open house.
You can just go to the grounds and walk around too. It is very peaceful and I love how it makes me feel safe. Me and my family had a very nice talk with the sister missionaries there, and they were so kind and fun. Then me and my family walked around and just layed on the grass. I don't remember feeling more peace in my life than in that moment. I am excited to go into the temple when it is open and do ordanances. And yes, you have to be reccomened by a church leader to go in, but no, you do not have to pay 10% of your life's income to do that.
But overall, very peaceful and the grounds are beautiful. I would definitely recommend coming here, even if it's just to walk around.
