  I’m disappointed with my experience at this daycare. I have a 5 year old , and this was his first time ever attending the daycare. Within his first week, he had two bathroom accidents and was sent home without shoes. I spoke with staff about my concerns and was told that the children in the school age class are expected to go to the restroom on their own and that staff do not have bathroom schedules nor do they remind them to go. The teacher’s response felt dismissive when I explained that my son was brand new to the daycare and still adjusting to the environment. The assistant director later gave me the same explanation. I understand the expectation of independence, but I felt that some reminders or check-ins would have been appropriate for a 5 YEAR OLD THAT JUST STARTED IN A NEW ENVIRONMENT. I can understand one accident, but two within the first week was concerning to me, especially when he was sent home shoeless. I respectfully reached out to the director through the daycare’s messaging app to express my concerns and hopefully find a solution. Unfortunately, I never received a response. That was probably the most disappointing part of the experience. I don’t expect every concern to be handled exactly the way I would handle it, but I do expect a parent who takes the time to respectfully communicate a concern about their child to at least receive a response.

  My first son started kindercare in 2021 & we have never had a bad experience. Both my younger kids started at 3 months old & they are very warm and caring with all the babies. The staff make you feel welcomed and like family. Ms. Jaime & Sarah are the absolute best! We have no plans on leaving, therefore we will stay til my kids outgrows daycare. Thank you kindercare for being good to my babies.

  My son has been attending Oakhurst Kindercare for over a year now and we couldn't be happier. Having to make the decision to leave my child in the care of strangers was extremely difficult, but everyone here was so nice that it made things a lot less stressful. I feel like I am kept up to date on what is going on in my child's class, and both of the teachers he has had have been wonderful, actually everyone I have dealt with there has been amazing. The director is very friendly and is almost always the first person to greet us when we walk in. She is always available and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this center to anyone, and you can easily schedule a tour before you make a decision.

  My kids love this facility. The staff is awesome !! The Director and Asst. Director make the sun shine even on a stormy day.

  I recently have moved jobs across town and was hesitant on finding a new place for my son. He is a very shy boy at first and i knew he was going to have a hard time transitioning at first. I've noticed a difference in him in just two weeks of him being there. He knew more numbers, he wasn't as hungry or thirsty when I picked him up, and all around a happier boy. I can't say enough good things about this pre school and the people who work there. My previous experience some of the centers employees were stand off ish, never really took the time to talk to me. So I never REALLY knew the people I left my son with and that scared me. Here at kindercare everybody involved with my son has talked to me, and interact with me and that is something I appreciate very much. Great place!
