The Fort Bend Texas Temple was announced in April 2024 by President Russell M. Nelson joining 9 other temples in the state. The temple is currently in the planning and approval phase. A groundbreaking date has not yet been announced. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 46,000 square feet, with an accompanying meetinghouse and ancillary building.
