  I’ve taken a good month before I posted a review in order to not rate KinderCare based off of emotions. However, my viewpoint of this facility remains the same. I was SO excited when I heard a KinderCare was being opened in Leander because I was very familiar with the company back home in Indiana. I was severely, disappointed in 90% of the staff. Only a handful of workers were very nice. We enrolled my daughter around 8weeks of age due to having to go back to work as a nurse. When we toured with Mandy, she ensured that we would have open flexibility on days - this was not the case the week before her first day. We ended up being assigned 3 days during the week and I had to beg my work to accommodate the daycare schedule (if you work in healthcare, you know it’s hard to have a set schedule as a nurse). The first day was HORRIBLE and we should’ve known then to withdraw her and take her somewhere else. Needless to say, over the two months of having her there, she would come home looking like a zombie from not having any sleep (older babies in her room that would scream and cry without being settled down), diaper changed MAYBE five times, and only getting fed 4 times. All of this transpired when she was there for 10-11 hours. The math wasn’t mathing on how she was being taken care of. The daily reports would be wrong or not even properly charted on. I had to call to find out why they marked a bottle of formula instead of breast milk and was told “well the buttons are close to each other”. Okay, I understand but maybe we should be diligent about proper charting. Come to find out in that same phone call one of the bottles were dropped and spilled everywhere…not sure why the bottle was open to the point it would spill seeing how my husband would tighten those bottles really well. That day, she still came home with two out of six bottles still full. Again, the math was not mathing. During these two months, we tried to work with the staff to provide the best care but it was like a toxic relationship. They would say that they would fix the issues and they would for a few days, but then it would revert back to the same same old routine, where my daughter was being neglected. Remember, she was only two months when we withdrew her from KinderCare. We should’ve seen the signs from the very beginning that this was not the right place to be and maybe time will tell and it will become a better facility but at this moment in time, it is not a facility that I would trust my baby or anyone else’s baby to be in their care. There is even one staff member in particular that held a grudge against me for some reason, even though I’ve only been there a handful of times to pick up my daughter. The last time was when I asked her where my daughter’s pacifier was so I could take it home and sanitize it. She then had a snarky attitude towards me saying that she’s been with my daughter all day and she did not have a pacifier. I knew for a fact, my daughter has a pacifier seeing as I have one designated for daycare. I asked a very sweet staff member (who was nothing but kind to me) if I could go check the other room to see if her pacifiers is there. It was there AND it was it another child’s cubby despite having HER NAME on it. I was hopeful and kept giving chance after chance because I used to work in a daycare and I understand that dealing with cute little babies can be overwhelming and schedules can be thrown off. However, there came a point that even my coworkers were asking when I would finally pull her out and take her somewhere else. And when I did withdraw her, everyone (and I mean everyone) were so happy that she was out of a place that could not take care of her. Needless to say, we have a better daycare now that treats her as their own daughter and she is THRIVING there. Don’t settle for this place. Trust your gut and either don’t enroll your child there or get the hell out of there.

  We are beyond thrilled to move our little one over to this daycare! The communication and transparency is exactly what we were looking for and our little one is so excited everyday to see friends and teachers!

  This daycare is amazing! Compared to where she was previously for a short time. I never have to worry about the status of my child . I am constantly updated throughout the day. The director Vearlyce/Nicole are always on top of things, very responsive. The teachers are all kind. I am happy I made the transition to this daycare. I just feel so much better knowing my child is in great hands while I am at work. The daycare is very clean and neat very brand new and not worn out . I love it🙂

  Edited to 5 stars: After leaving my original review, the team took my feedback and improved communication and systems so that my bottles are ready to go in the afternoon! This continues to be true after several weeks and we still love bringing our daughter here. They even did a special birthday display outside the classroom. Original Review: I wish I could give 4.5 stars! We love it here and have been taking our infant daughter here since April. I wanted to give it some time to see how our experience has been before leaving a review. Our daughter is hitting all milestones, loves spending time in class, and has even made friends, which I did not expect at this infant age. Every staff member in the building smiles and welcomes us each day and afternoon, knows my daughter by name, and makes a genuine connection with us by sharing how her day was or anything they have noticed about her growth and personality. The pricing is great and the location for us is perfect. You need to have realistic expectations about the care since this is not a 1 on 1 setting, and it is a group setting. I've been very happy with the care and attention my daughter receives. The reason for 4 stars is that this place is not perfect, there are some lapses in communication (minor) when we pick up and try to get the right number of bottles we sent but the afternoon staff doesn't always know what morning staff did with items. The app messages are not as efficient as just calling the center. Overall, we are excited each day to be part of the community and I have no concerns about my daughter's safety or well-being during the day.
