Definitely recommend La Mère Academy! Have been with La Mère for just a little over 2 years and it has been wonderful! Our family started at La Mère when there were not very many options available at the time, but even now years later and many more options now available, I would still chose La Mère! The Staff and Admin are very communicative and so helpful with our child. We love the teachers so much and are so appreciative of everything they do.

My family moved to the area last spring, and we were so nervous to start a new daycare. We ended up choosing La Mere for our younger two (2.5 and 6mos) and truly couldn't be happier! First of all, we feel that our kids are super safe here. The doors are secure, and they have a camera system that I've never seen (and we've been to many daycares over the years). I love getting to check in on them whenever I want. The food is truly gourmet! What a relief to not only have lunch-making off our shoulders, but also to know that they're eating nutritious and tasty food every day. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and communicative. Special mention to Ms. Dani, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Kim, Ms. Nichola, and Ms. Julie. These special women make me feel confident that my daughters are having fun and feeling loved every day. My oldest daughter (8) also attended summer camp at La Mere this year. She had SO much fun with the incredible staff there, who plan so many engaging activities for these kids and take such good care of them. There are so many reasons to love La Mere, and as I tell my husband frequently, the vibes are just so good there. This was the best decision we could have made for our family!

We have been a part of the La Mere family since my oldest child was 2. This has been a fabulous place for our children to learn and grow! We truly feel like a part of the family here. Ms. Mireya and Ms. Kavya are amazing and have helped my son grow so much! We are forever grateful for the teachers and staff who have loved on our children at La Mere.

We joined our daughter in La Mere Academy at 34 months age! She always stayed home until then and she was very attached to us. We have toured 14 different day care centers/preschools until La Mere. The minute we stepped into La Mere, the vibe just clicked. The cleanliness, interaction with the staff, the environment as a whole and the small little details such as the presence of a cold mist humidifier. Unlike other centers, La Mere actually put in the time and effort to know my daughter before admission. The first couple of days were rough and the first couple of weeks were a little hard - but now, my daughter loves to go to school. The staff were accommodating and very very understanding and kind especially during the initial phase. We are having to relocate to another state and my daughter's asking if she can still go to La Mere school in the new city! I also want to highlight that the chef on-site is amazing!! Kids never go hungry here and all of the food is prepared fresh from scratch daily. My daughter has an allergy and all these 6 months they have been utmost careful with making sure she's served right. During the drop off in the morning times and if someone ever steps-in during lunch time, the smells make you hungry. The most important - They have accountability. They understand child care and development. I have been to another center where a new teacher pops into your kid's classroom almost every single day in a week and "fills-in". At La Mere, in the first couple of weeks, when there was a teacher change in my daughter's classroom, La Mere's management actually put in a parent-teacher meeting, explained things on why the change. They also made sure the temporary fill-in teacher is a familiar face from the adjacent classroom and has been with academy since a very long time. Once they found a new teacher for the classroom, she has been there consistently (except for a day here and there). This one's a hard thing to pull off and I commend the management for the teacher selection process. The class teachers are also amazing obviously! They have a set curriculum and my daughter surprises me with what she learns at school EVERY SINGLE DAY. And here's the bonus - LIVE STREAMING! Honestly, it's very helpful the first few days. But later, you trust and get comfortable with how things are going. Now we rarely check the live stream except when I just miss my daughter and want to take a quick peek. I recommend La Mere to anyone living within a 15mile radius as IT'S WORTH IT! We'll miss you La Mere family. Thank you so much for providing such a memorable and smooth experience for one of the major milestones in our daughter's life.

I am writing this review because I believe parents considering La Mere deserve to know what I personally observed. I was genuinely excited to enroll my daughter and had already planned for her to start in August. During my visit, however, I saw multiple young children using the restroom with their pants/underwear down while they were clearly visible from the hallway. People walking through the hallway could see the children using the restroom and in a state of undress. My question to current La Mere parents is: Are you aware of this? Are you comfortable with your child being visible undressed to people walking through the hallway? I raised this concern directly with the school because I still WANTED my daughter to attend. I wasn't demanding that they redesign the school. I simply asked whether they could provide appropriate privacy—for example, partially closing the restroom door or finding another solution so children using the restroom aren't visible from the hallway. Instead of acknowledging the concern and working with me on a solution, I was essentially told that perhaps this wasn't the right school for us, and my daughter's enrollment was dismissed. That was extremely disappointing because I never asked to withdraw my daughter. I also initially chose this school because I was told there would be two teachers in the classroom. When I attended the orientation, there was only one teacher, and I was told that because the number of children was lower, one teacher met the required ratio. I understand that schools have staffing ratios and policies, so I was willing to work through that concern. But children's restroom privacy was something I could not simply ignore. What bothers me most is that I wasn't trying to attack the school—I was a parent asking them to address something I personally witnessed and that I believed was inappropriate. I was still willing and interested in enrolling my daughter if the privacy concern could be resolved. Parents should be able to raise legitimate concerns about supervision, dignity, and restroom privacy without feeling that their child's enrollment will simply be dismissed rather than the concern being addressed. I encourage every current and prospective parent to look at the restroom setup themselves during a tour and ask how children's privacy is protected. Then make your own decision about whether you are comfortable with it.
