I initially really hesitated to leave any kind of review, but now feel like I’m ready to share our experience with this school. We enrolled our daughter in February 2025 when the school was still Miss Bloomingdale’s Academy. For the first several months, we LOVED her teachers and the experience we had in both infant room 1 and 2. In November 2025, we were informed that the school would be transitioning to KinderCare. Honestly, that was already a lot to take in. We had chosen Miss Bloomingdale’s largely because it wasn’t a franchise and it had so many of the positive traits of a family owned center. And to be even more honest, of the other schools that we toured that were part of a franchise/chain, KinderCare wouldn’t have even made our top 3. Putting all that aside, the teachers are what made the school great so we decided to stick it out through the transition. We didn’t expect the change to go 100% smoothly by any means and we were prepared to give them grace as they worked through all of the details. But then all of the teacher turnover began. And with that, the teachers that were left all started covering other rooms and it became unpredictable who was going to be her teacher each day. This continued for at least two months. And during all of that, there was not a single email or notice from admin to inform us of the change in our daughter’s teacher. Probably because they themselves didn’t even know, but still not an encouraging look from a parent’s perspective. I would also say that our daughter probably struggles with change more than the average toddler, but I can’t imagine that any of the toddlers in her room were benefiting from the inconsistency in teachers. With all of that constant chaos and turnover, there's just way more room for error and lapses in care and we definitely experienced that. All while KinderCare increased tuition costs. It’s such a predictable story of the family owned business being taken over by a franchise and then being mismanaged, but it really felt like that’s what we were witnessing in real time. I don’t even necessarily disagree with any of the curriculum or program changes that were made, but the shift in culture was clearly enough to turn away long-standing teachers and staff. I’d also add that, while I acknowledge that everyone was probably doing their best, the quality of new hire teachers was a significant drop from before. To wrap this up, we have since withdrawn our daughter and we are so grateful we did. We don’t think that KinderCare is beyond repair, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone without knowing that the turnover issue has been resolved.

My son began attending this center in January, and unfortunately, we’ve experienced a number of ongoing concerns since then. The most significant issue has been the extremely high staff turnover. The teacher he started with left within the first three weeks, and parents were never given an explanation. The second teacher who replaced her left after approximately four months. A new teacher was assigned to the class, but parents were never introduced to her or informed that she would be taking over. When my son transitioned to the next classroom after aging out of the previous one, that teacher resigned after only two weeks. Again, there was no communication from the center. Another new teacher has since taken over, and once again, parents were not informed. I only learned there was a new teacher because I happened to see an unfamiliar face during pickup and took the initiative to introduce myself and ask questions. To add to these concerns, the Director, Mrs. Megan, has informed parents that she will be leaving at the end of this month. She has been the one person who consistently appeared committed to improving the center. The Assistant Director has also announced that she is leaving this month. As I’ve mentioned, the staff turnover at this center is extremely concerning. The communication throughout the day is also lacking. The center has an app that is intended to provide parents with updates, but the teachers in my son’s current classroom rarely use it. I’ve also noticed children walking around with dirty noses that have not been wiped, which raises concerns about the level of care and attentiveness. In addition, diapers, wipes, and other personal items that are clearly labeled continue to go missing. The meals provided are also questionable. For example, serving eggs, green beans, and pears for lunch does not seem like a well-balanced or age-appropriate meal combination. At $345 per week, I expect a much higher standard of care. Parents should receive timely communication about staffing changes, teachers should consistently use the communication app, children’s hygiene and supervision should be a priority, staff should present themselves professionally, personal belongings should be properly managed, and meals should be thoughtfully planned. Most importantly, the children deserve a stable, well-managed environment where their care is the center’s highest priority.

This place is the best. We had our son at Irving Kindercare from 3 months until 10 months and only left because we were moving. I would recommend this daycare to anyone. The infant classroom teachers of Ms. Dallas, Ms. Chiiron, Ms. Ashley, and countless others including the assistant director Ms. May and the director Ms. Megan loved our son. It was clear that he loved going to daycare and we always knew he was safe, happy, and learning. Communication was top notch with the app and with reminders and notices sent out via email. I could always call and talk to someone (usually Ms. May or Ms. Megan) on the phone. They always had upcoming events or partnerships and loved having parents get involved. If you want the best daycare around, I would enroll here.

We love all the new things KinderCare has put into place at this facility! Their summer program has lots of fun activities, even for the babies, like petting zoos, pony rides and splash day. And of course, they take very good care of our daughter. Highly recommend.
