Chau and Stacy were the utmost professionals helping our family with our huge loss that happened unexpectedly. The facility is excellent. Chau and Stacy went above and beyond to take care of our needs which included expediting a transfer overseas. Highly recommend Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home.

During the death of my brother Cong Vu, the funeral home provided us a wonderful and warm services during the sad time. The specifically the funeral director Ms. Chau took care of my brother Cong's family during the service. Ms. Chau performance was exceptional going above and beyond to make sure that everything we needed was taken care of. Specifically the paper work to transport my brother ashes back to Việt Nam in a short period of time. Thank you Ms. Chau, and her staff and Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home.

We recently lost our dear brother-in-law suddenly and our entire family was at a complete loss. Fortunately for us, one of my sisters reached out to Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, when Stacey Avist (Manager) & Chau Nguyen-Yim (Funeral home director) pulled off a top rated funeral service with dignity while the rest of us were still in shock & mourning. One thing worth mentioning is that, as per the deceased wishes, we needed to transfer his ashes to Vietnam to be with his relatives. The challenge was to be able to accomplish this task in 4 days, including getting permission from USA consulate to carry the ashes out & permission from the Vietnamese consulate to accept entry of his ashes. Chau, the funeral director worked tirelessly on the weekend to pull this off. My sister was able to deliver her husband’s ashes to his desired final peaceful resting place, where another beautiful final service was made by his loving extended family in Vietnam. Another unique detail I also need to mention is that a year ago, we also lost our father, and as per his will, we used another funeral home listed in his will. After having had the experiences of 2 funeral services one year apart, there is no question in my mind that Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home had out performed the other local funeral service we used a year ago for our father. We would especially like to say thank you to the staff of the Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, especially the exceptionally dedicated Chau Nguyen-Yim.

The service that we received from the funeral director, Chau Nguyen-Yim was compassionate, personal and dignified! She was patient and listened to our family’s needs and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She spoke to us with kindness and gentleness during a very difficult time for our family. Stacey, the managing partner, was equally exceptional! We are thankful for the loving care that we received from Cypress Fairbanks Funeral Home!

Stacy and Sarah were truly a light during one of the darkest times in my life. Their kindness, compassion, and genuine care made an incredibly difficult process feel a little less overwhelming. Wade and I are deeply grateful for the dignity and thoughtfulness you both showed us every step of the way. Thank you for taking such good care of my mom.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home

What is the purpose of embalming?

Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.

Does a dead body have to be embalmed, according to law?

The Federal Trade Commission says, "Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial."
