I was blessed enough to have a loved one that had arrangements already planned and paid for with Sterling-White but the entire process from start to finish was a delight. Thank you to Alexis and the entire staff for making an emotional experience little easier.

We are deeply grateful to Alexis Junco and the entire team at Sterling-White for the exceptional care and compassion they showed our family during the loss of our mom.
From the moment we walked in, Alexis and her team demonstrated professionalism, patience, and genuine kindness. They clearly explained all of our options and ensured every detail was handled with dignity and respect, never pressuring us into services we didn't need. Their guidance made a difficult process much easier to navigate.
The facility was clean, welcoming, and comforting. Most importantly, they helped create a beautiful and deeply personal service that truly honored our mom's life and memory.
We sincerely appreciate the care, transparency, and support provided by Alexis Junco and the Sterling-White team. We highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a compassionate, respectful, and professional funeral home during a time of need.

The care and thoughtfulness my families received & seen given to others is absolutely breathtaking. We've dreaded having to go see our sons resting place now for 4 years. Kass was 16 when he passed in 2022. The comfort, the peace, tranquility we began allowing ourselves to feel sometime during the first year makes our frequent visits now so different than early in our grief. We're able to laugh while my family of 4 now tell stories about Kassler, share memories and pray together. No one wants to go to places like this, obviously. However, it's an unavoidable destination and with us having to be here this soon for my son, Sterling-White has made our trips to the cemetery to feel his spirit more peaceful & comforting than I ever believed possible. The gardens are immaculate. The grass soft yet firm with no fire ants insight; within the 4 years 3 months we've been sharing special days, anniversaries or individual quiet times with Bubba. I travel FM 2100 to the ship channel daily. Very rarely do I not stop in. Early in the am or late in the pm I can honestly say
i don't remember swatting at a Texas Mosquito. I'm grateful for the people at Sterling-White looking after all whose last resting place is here, but for also & I'm sure it's like this for everyone but making us feel like they look after our loved ones as though they were one of their own. The blessings they've given my family of recently are nothing less than a miracle straight from Jesus Christ Himself. A burden we are strictly responsible for, they absorbed themselves out of care, compassion & love will now allow us to find peace in what's been one of our families biggest daily stresses since we were put on this unimaginable road.

Bring the following information to complete the State vital statistic requirements:
✓ Birthplace
✓ Father's Name
✓ Mother's Name
✓ Social Security Number
✓ Veteran's Discharge or Claim Number
✓ Education
✓ Marital Status
Contact your clergy. Decide on time and place of funeral or memorial service. This can be done at the funeral home.
The funeral home will assist you in determining the number of copies of the death certificates you will be needing and can order them for you.
Make a list of immediate family, close friends and employer or business colleagues. Notify each by phone.
Decide on appropriate memorial to which gifts may be made (church, hospice, library, charity or school).
Gather obituary information you want to include such as age, place of birth, cause of death, occupation, college degrees, memberships held, military service , outstanding work, list of survivors in immediate family. Include time and place of services. The funeral home will normally write article and submit to newspapers (newspaper will accept picture and they will be returned intact).
Arrange for members of family or close friends to take turns answering door or phone, keeping careful record of calls. If Social Security checks are automatic deposit, notify the bank of the death.
When I call, will someone come right away?
If you request immediate assistance, yes. If the family wishes to spend a short time with the deceased to say good-bye, that’s perfectly acceptable. Your funeral director will come when your time is right.
Should I choose Burial or Cremation?
Burial in a casket is the most common method of disposing of remains in the United States, although entombment also occurs. Cremation is increasingly selected because it can be less expensive and allows for the memorial service to be held at a more convenient time in the future when relatives and friends can come together.
A funeral service followed by cremation need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. Usually, cremated remains are placed in urn before being committed to a final resting place. The urn may be buried, placed in an indoor or outdoor mausoleum or columbarium, or interred in a special urn garden that many cemeteries provide for cremated remains. The remains may also be scattered, according to state law.
What is the purpose of embalming?
Embalming sanitizes and preserves the body. Embalming makes it possible to lengthen the time between death and the final disposition, allowing family members time to arrange and participate in the type of service most comforting to them.
Does a dead body have to be embalmed, according to law?
The Federal Trade Commission says, "Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial."

How do I proceed when a death occurs?
The funeral home helps coordinate with the cemetery, assists with vital statistics, obituary preparation, notifying family and friends, clergy contact, and memorial arrangements.
Is embalming legally required?
Embalming is generally not required by law except in special cases. It may be necessary for funeral arrangements involving a viewing, but you can choose alternatives like direct cremation or immediate burial without embalming.
