Since switching to their new payment system, KinderCare is in violation of both State of Texas and Federal law requiring Autopay and not providing an "as easy as enrolling" opt-out or cancellation feature. Their new system double billed me and there's no direct way of challenging or changing the billing. Further, I attempted to contact their corporate telephone line several times and, in one instance, waited more than 104 minutes on hold with no answer. I have emailed them several times with no response. I have sent an email clearly stating a "charge dispute" demand invoking the legally required response within 30 days, but have only met with silence. The local people that work for Champions (at least at Uplift Elevate) seem to be genuinely good people, although Christina, the Director, could be more present and accessible to parents. I'm quite happy with the other staff. I will be pursuing enforcement action against this company regarding their failure to provide an Autopay opt-out mechanic as required by state and federal law as well as failure to respond to a formal charge dispute. Avoid this company at all costs.

Champions is not the place if you are expecting your children to be safe and supervised. I use to work there, so I saw first hand how things really work. The old director left children alone and unsupervised, the door would remain unsecured for anyone to just walk in, a certain employee would allow children to climb on tables, run through the building and climb the pillars, the tone that several employees used when speaking to the children was not kind nor polite, they enforce corporal punishment by having them sit out for misbehaving for 10 minutes or more, the facility opened late on several occasions due to a lazy employee who would arrive to work in the mornings when she felt like coming which had me late to work, this same lazy employee was always on her cell phone instead of watching the children and I took pictures. Then when I brought this information to the director and her boss, they informed this employee and her mother came to the site threatening me. They still did nothing nor ever addressed it. It broke my heart to quit because of the rapport I built with the children as wee as their parents. My daughter no longer goes there, we changed our schedules and enlisted the help of our neighbors to get her back and forth. Hopefully if more people start being an advocate, they will take parent concerns and ex-employees more seriously. In my opinion, programs such as these should be required to install cameras so parents can watch and listen to what's going on to have a peace of mind. Lastly, the site director also started treating me differently after I expressed my concerns and her boss as well. Please, if you have others options besides using Champions, utilize it.
