We have endeavored to honor the past while embracing our future as a church, which began on August 25, 1901. Looking to God and the rugged, frontier village that surrounded them, 11 people formed what would be known as the First Baptist Church of Dalhart. FBC has stayed committed to the values and principles that has sustained this church for over 120 years: an unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ; a resolute submission the Word of a deep commitment to unity and friendship; and a steadfast desire to serve each other and our community.
