I cannot say enough good things about this funeral home, and especially about Jax, who was the person who helped me through everything after the loss of my father. Losing my father was one of the most difficult experiences I have ever gone through. On top of trying to process losing him, I suddenly had to figure out funeral arrangements, paperwork, expenses, and a lot of things I had never expected to be dealing with. From the very beginning, Jax treated me with an incredible amount of compassion, patience, and understanding. I never felt like I was just another customer or another bill. Jax took the time to actually listen to me, explain things when I had questions, and help me navigate everything during a time when I was overwhelmed and honestly just trying to get through each day. One of the things that meant the most to me was how much Jax and the funeral home were willing to work with me financially. They significantly reduced the cost of my father's arrangements to help me when I was already dealing with an extremely difficult situation. They absolutely did not have to do that, and I don't think they realize just how much of a difference that made for me. That kind of compassion is something I will remember for the rest of my life. Jax was patient with me throughout the entire process. I never felt rushed, pressured, judged, or like I was inconveniencing anyone. Even when I wasn't sure what I needed to do next, Jax helped guide me through it. There is a huge difference between someone simply doing their job and someone who genuinely cares about the person they're helping, and I absolutely felt that Jax cared. There was so much happening surrounding my father's passing that everything became overwhelming very quickly. Having Jax be someone I could rely on throughout the funeral process took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. During a period of my life where it felt like I was constantly dealing with another problem or another responsibility, this was one place where I felt like someone was actually trying to make things easier for me rather than harder. You don't really understand how important the people working in this profession are until you're suddenly the person who needs them. You're trusting someone with your loved one while you're also trying to process the reality that they're gone. It takes a special kind of person to work with grieving people every day while still showing genuine patience and compassion, and Jax did exactly that for me. I am incredibly grateful for everything this funeral home did for my father, but I especially want Jax to know how much I appreciate everything they did for me personally. The patience, kindness, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for me during one of the hardest periods of my life are things I will never forget. If you ever unfortunately find yourself needing to make arrangements for someone you love, I would absolutely recommend this funeral home. And if you have the opportunity to work with Jax, you will be in very good hands. Thank you, Jax, for taking care of my father and for treating me like a human being who was grieving rather than just another customer. You made an incredibly painful situation a little easier for me to get through, and that meant more to me than I can put into words.

We had a terrible experience with Hillier Funeral Home. We had a grave side service and upon arrival nothing was set up. No chairs, no tent and no visitation book. I do not recommend Hillier Funeral Home.

Hillier Funeral Home, especially the care from Jodie Vogt, has been phenomenal. The communication from the entire staff at Hillier was very timely and professional. Our family experienced a devastating loss. From the time of picking our daughter up from the hospital to when we received her ashes, Jodie ensured our daughter was taken care of while in their care. They were able to get amazing handprints and footprints of our daughter which we will forever cherish. Jodie went above and beyond in helping us have special moments and memories as a family during this extremely difficult time. We sincerely thank you Hillier Funeral Home and Jodie Vogt.
