  Today the staff put on in Australia Day. They spent days making decorations and turned the dining room into a colorful wonderland. Special things to the dining room, staff and the chef and cooks who did an outstanding job and had a wonderful meal for us.. The kitchen stove tries very hard to serve, attractive and tasting meals on a daily basis, but I have to say they outdid themselves today. Thanks so much to everyone who planned in implemented the special theme.,

  When the time came for my mother to move to assisted living, I had a list of non-negotiables in mind: the place must be immaculately clean and safe, there must be many activities for her very active mind, and the employees must convey their love of their jobs. From the moment my husband and I walked in the front doors, I knew Chapel Hill would be my mother’s new home. “Home” is the operative word. My mother has the independence she has always enjoyed, and the programs are wonderful! She loves the musical performances, the history talks, Bible classes, movie nights, the list goes on! Chapel Hill gives me the peace of mind in knowing that my mother is safe and happy!

  Cannot say enough good things about CH. It starts with the staff, from senior administration to the direct resident care team, my family and I have seen nothing but sincere kindness and a sense of mission to take care of "the whole person". Facilities are great, but they don't create a caring environment... the people do. I truly thank God that my sisters found CH for my dad.

  While researching senior living options for my mother earlier this year, I met with Kris Petersen, sales counselor for the Brookdale Cumberland facility. She provided me with a facility tour and comprehensive review of services, and was very knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. During a subsequent tour with Mom and my siblings, she demonstrated the same thoroughness, and paid particular attention to my mother's comments and concerns. Although multiple apartments were available at the time, none of them quite seemed to fit. Over the next couple of months, Kris kept in touch as occupancy changes occurred, and one day called to say that an apartment addressing all of my mother's concerns was available. After viewing the apartment, Mom concurred and placed a deposit on it that very day. Throughout this life-altering process, Kris never applied any overt sales pressure or attempted to talk Mom into something she wasn't comfortable with. Her professionalism and demeanor were exactly appropriate. Mom has been a resident for several months now, and is very pleased with her new apartment and the entire facility and staff. Although Kris's primary sales function has been fulfilled, she continues to demonstrate her caring nature by following up with Mom and other residents to ensure that all of their needs continue to be met. Thank you!
