My son attended Kindercare Thornbury for nearly 7 months, and we couldn’t have been happier with the love, care, and attention he received. We had a bit of a rocky start under a previous administration, but things were quickly cleaned up and organized once Devin became director. With her at the head of the school, and Charlotte supporting her, the children enrolled here could not be in better hands. They are so obviously invested in every child’s wellbeing and happiness, and go above and beyond to communicate with parents - at drop-off, pickup, and as needed throughout each day, in person, on the phone, and via their app. In addition, I have to give an extra special shoutout to Yasmin - any child who gets to have her as a teacher is incredibly lucky. She is kind, warm, patient, and incredibly intelligent. My son thrived in her care, and we are so grateful to her for loving our son. Sending your child to a daycare is an intense exercise in trust, and to have her as our child’s first teacher at 1 year old was beyond lucky for us. She made the adjustment easier for us as first-time parents (and first-time daycare enrollees). My son was always happy to be dropped off, and talks about “Ya Ya” every night! We moved to a different state almost 2 weeks ago and he still says her name every day, she has clearly had an extremely positive impact on his life. We already miss this daycare and the wonderful staff, and I can only hope our new daycare has people as caring and compassionate as this Kindercare does.

We just started at Thornbury Kindercare with our 4mth old. Before we even started, we have felt a warm welcome. Kathy the director gave us a comprehensive tour of the infant room and facilities and explained everything in a digestible way for a first time mom. Their strong communication has continued as we have started. We get many updates throughout the day about our son in the app, that puts our minds at ease dropping him off. Cathy, Kathleen, and the team in the infant room have been wonderful and patient in understanding our son’s wants and needs. Every time we drop him off/pick him up he always gives the staff big smiles which is the best feeling! We highly recommend this facility and the care they provide.

My child attends here and while most of the teachers are great, there is one in particular who is the total opposite. She has been heard yelling at the children, she referred to my child as a “peasant” and if she so willingly and comfortably said this out loud, I can only imagine what she says/does when nobody else is around. I am no longer comfortable with my child attending this school while Ms. Kait is present, with the lack of security cameras and her seemingly short temperament. I will not recommend this preschool to anybody as long as this teacher remains employed.

We have been attending Thornbury KinderCare for about 5 years now. We first began when my son was 2 and now my daughter is attending. The minute I walked in on my first tour I felt such a good warm feeling! The place is clean and the staff has become like family to my family. They really are so kind, friendly, and caring to our children. The communication has been great throughout the years. The staff work as a team in caring for your children so they get to know all of the students. It is a great place that you can trust to send your children!
