As a veteran, they are amazing! The programs are wonderful. I was heavily involved from December 2022 to November 2025. I fell in love with the mission and its people. So much so I became a volunteer - a warrior leader to plan and host events for local Pittsburgh veterans and family members. Thats where the disconnect happened. In a year I hosted 6 events. Three were specific to women vets and family members. The peer group that WWP runs and was my support system treated me less than. I started hearing from my male Peer Group Leader and male peers how my approved events for women are sexist. No one was stopping the Peer Group leader from hosting his own male only events. I tried bringing it up to the several times and it was pretty much on deaf hears. No response for a while and it was just “we’ll talk to him”. No apology for making a toxic environment for me. Now I’ve lost my support system for something that was a huge problem in the military - females don’t belong. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. Of course the Peer Leader that caused this environment gets rewarded by WWP, as my mental health suffers for the loss. Great for veterans not female volunteers.

I cannot in good conscience nor should anyone support this organization until they get back 800 million, yes I SAID 800 MILLION DOLLARS of donor money that was misspent by the CEOs mostly on lavish parties and dinners. $800,000,000.00. That's a lot of zeros and NOBODY has been held accountable but yet they still are on TV asking for your support and slightly changed the name. Trace Adkins should be ashamed to continue this appeal to our hearts. And shame on our government also for not taking care of our veterans.
