  This took me almost 7 months to write. I wanted to write a good review because they deserve it. From the moment they knew my mom wasn’t well Sean would just check in it wasn’t just business they made me feel like family!! I would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you to the whole Truby family it’s something that I will never forget and always have nothing but respect for them!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from my family!

  There are businesses, and then there are families who answer a calling. Burket-Truby Funeral Home is the latter. Our family has known the Truby family for decades, and my grandmother Ann Capuano placed her trust in Russ Truby long before she passed. After Russ's unexpected passing, Sean and Shea carried forward not only the family business but also the heart and character their father was so well known for. Watching Sean continue that legacy has been one of the most beautiful things to witness, and I know both his father and my grandmother would be incredibly proud. From the moment Sean arrived at my grandmother's home the night she passed away, he cared for every one of us with gentleness, compassion, and genuine kindness. Although we knew the funeral home was incredibly busy that week, we never once felt rushed or like we were just another family. Every conversation, every detail, and every request was met with patience, intentionality, and grace. Sean went above and beyond in ways our family will never forget. He took extra time to help me retrieve the exact rosary that had been placed in my grandmother's hands as we prayed together before she passed. He met with me before the service to make sure a legacy video I created was played at the viewing, he attentively listened and encouraged me to share a eulogy I had written, and even made time at the cemetery so I could honor my grandmother with a final tribute. Shea, Sean and his wife made time to talk with me at the funeral home while preparing for her viewing and be in my moment of grieving but also gave me "community" when I needed it the most. Those moments can never be recreated, and because of their kindness, they became memories our family will treasure forever. In a profession centered on helping families through their hardest days, the Truby family reminded us that this isn't simply their business -- it's their ministry of service "families serving families." What impressed us most was that Sean wasn't simply coordinating a funeral—he was walking alongside a grieving family. Even after everything was over, he reached out to check on us. That simple act spoke volumes about the kind of person he is. The Truby family has always been a gift to this community, and Sean and the staff at Burkey-Truby's is carrying that legacy forward with humility, integrity, and an incredible heart for serving others. If you are looking for someone to care for your loved one as though they were family, I cannot recommend Burket-Truby Funeral Home enough. We will forever be grateful for the compassion, dignity, and love they showed our grandmother , my "Meme" and our entire family during one of the hardest seasons of our lives.

  Burket-Truby Funeral Home was truly exceptional during one of the hardest weeks of my life. From the moment I called Sean, I knew my family and I were in caring and compassionate hands. Losing my father was incredibly difficult, but Sean and his entire team made the process as seamless and stress-free as possible. They handled every detail with professionalism, dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion. During a time when grief can feel overwhelming, they gave me comfort and peace of mind, allowing me to focus on honoring my dad and being with my family instead of worrying about arrangements. Death is one of the most difficult experiences we face in life, and having a team that guides you through it with such care makes all the difference. I am beyond grateful for everything Sean and the staff at Burket-Truby did for us and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in need of funeral services. Their compassion, attention to detail, and dedication to families are truly unmatched.

  I can't say enough about how wonderful Sean and his whole team were. When my mother-in-law passed away unexpectedly, we had two people referring us to this funeral home and, deep in grief and needing to make a decision, we went to Burket-Truby. Sean was incredibly professional and compassionate, a hard balance to strike. He helped us even find a wonderful cemetery since they didn't have plots chosen yet. The space was beautiful and calming during our services with gentle music and lovely art on the walls. The staff were kind and helpful during every event. During the procession to the cemetery they chose a route that made it easy to follow and expertly guided us even when I don't think anyone could think straight. While I don't think you can really *enjoy* working with a funeral home, I'm so glad we chose Burket-Truby.

  What do you do when you live a state away and your friend who is depending on you to reach out to fulfill their final wishes and you are 'clueless'...go to the Burket-Truby Funeral Home and ask for help and direction! What a blessing Sean was to me in giving his guidance. He freely gave his time, even though he had other families to assist. God bless this man and his business! If I lived in the area Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Inc and Sean would be in my directives. "Thank you", seems empty in expressing my deep appreciation, however I have no other words....
